Obverse description Diademed and veiled head of Hera facing right, rendered in fine high relief with elaborately styled curling hair, wearing a pendant drop earring and a veil draped from the diadem. A small dolphin symbol appears to the right of the neck. The legend ΤΑΡΑ is inscribed vertically in the right field, with the magistrate's signature ΚΟΝ below the bust near the lower left. The portrait is framed by a delicate beaded border and displays the accomplished engraving style characteristic of late 4th-century Tarentine coinage.
