| Obverse description | Pegasus depicted in flight facing left, rendered in fine archaic relief with prominent folded wings raised above the body and forelegs extended in a galloping posture. The mythical winged horse is shown in dynamic profile, conveying motion and energy characteristic of Corinthian coinage of the period. The Corinthian civic symbol koppa (Ϙ) appears in the lower field beneath the body of Pegasus, serving as a mint control mark. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of hand-struck Greek silver coinage of the fourth century BC. The design occupies the full field with minimal border treatment. |
