Obverse description The distinctive Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, depicted facing and occupying the full field of the coin. The shield's characteristic cutouts on either side are clearly delineated, framed by a raised border that follows the irregular flan. The design is boldly struck, with a convex central boss and the incurved lateral openings characteristic of this regional shield type, emblematic of the Boeotian League.
