Obverse description Pegasos in full flight to right, rendered in bold high relief with large, upswept wings prominently displayed above the body. The winged horse is depicted with forelegs extended forward and hind legs trailing, its curled tail visible at the lower left. The musculature of the creature is vigorously modelled in the Corinthian artistic tradition characteristic of fourth-century BC silver coinage. The field is plain, with no legend or additional devices, the entire design filling the flan with dynamic energy.
