| Obverse description | Pegasus in full flight to left, rendered with vigorous naturalistic detail; the winged horse is depicted with outstretched forelegs, arched neck, and elaborately feathered wings spread upward. The body and musculature are modelled in high relief, characteristic of the Corinthian die-cutting tradition. In the lower field below the horse, the archaic Corinthian civic symbol koppa (Ϙ) appears as a control mark, serving as a mint identifier. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with no border decoration. |
