| Obverse description | Nude youth depicted in the act of dismounting from a prancing horse moving to left, rendered in dynamic three-quarter pose; the rider grasps a whip in his raised right hand while his left controls the reins, with one leg swung over the horse's back in mid-dismount. The horse is shown in vigorous motion with forelegs raised, its muscular anatomy rendered with considerable artistic skill typical of Cilician coinage of the Classical period. A dotted border frames the design along the coin's periphery. The Greek letter Π appears in the lower field beneath the horse, serving as a control mark or initial. |
