Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head and a mail neck guard (lorica), rendered in fine relief with careful attention to facial features and helmet detail. The reverse field bears control symbols and letters: the letter Alpha (Α) to the lower left, Lambda (Λ) below the neck, and a wheel device to the right of the portrait. The style is consistent with the prolific Corinthian stater series of the early fourth century BC, exhibiting the characteristically graceful Athena type associated with this mint.
