Obverse description Facing right, the youthful head of the nymph Euboia rendered in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style. The hair is dressed in a rolled coiffure drawn back from the face, and she is adorned with a crescent-shaped earring and a plain necklace. The modeling of the facial features exhibits the soft, naturalistic treatment characteristic of mid-4th century BCE Greek coinage. The field is smooth and unlettered, with the portrait centrally placed on the flan.
