Obverse description Nude youth seated sideways on a horse prancing to the left, his body turned in three-quarter view toward the viewer; the rider holds the reins with both hands and is depicted with fine anatomical detail characteristic of early Classical Cilician coinage. The horse raises its forelegs dynamically, conveying movement and vitality. The entire composition is set within a plain circular border formed by a beaded or rope-like inner rim. The style is consistent with the fine artistic tradition of Kelenderis in the early fifth century BC.
