Obverse description A panther, rendered in fine archaic style, strides to the left in a dynamic pose with its right forepaw raised. Beneath the animal lies a tunny fish, oriented horizontally, serving as the civic emblem of Kyzikos and a recurring device on its coinage. The figures are depicted in high relief against a plain field, with careful attention to musculature and anatomical detail characteristic of late archaic Greek die-cutting. No legend or inscription is present.

Reverse description A quadripartite incuse square dominates the reverse, divided into four recessed compartments of alternating raised and sunken sections, creating a windmill or skew pattern typical of early Greek coinage. The incuse is deeply struck and irregular in outline, reflecting the manual hammering technique employed. The surface within each quarter shows natural flow lines from the striking process. No inscription or additional device is present.
