Obverse description Pegasus depicted in full flight, moving to the left, with wings raised and body rendered in bold relief characteristic of Corinthian coinage. The winged horse is shown in a dynamic galloping pose, with forelegs extended and hindquarters powerfully drawn. The modeling of the musculature and feathered wings reflects the accomplished die-cutting tradition of the Corinthian mint. The design occupies the full flan with minimal field visible around the central type.
