| Obverse description | Laureate head of Poseidon facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-early classical style. The deity's hair is elaborately dressed in tightly beaded curls covering the crown and temples, with a laurel wreath encircling the head. The full beard is similarly rendered in rows of globular curls, characteristic of Phoenician artistic convention. The facial features are boldly modeled in high relief, with a strong brow, prominent eye, and aquiline nose. The overall composition fills the flan with confident, vigorous engraving typical of early Aradian silver coinage. |

| Reverse description | A warship (galley) advancing to the right, depicted above stylized wave patterns rendered as a series of undulating lines. The hull, oars, and ram are clearly delineated, conveying maritime power befitting the important Phoenician trading city of Arados. Above the galley appears a Phoenician inscription. An amorphous countermark is visible within a shaped incuse punch, applied at a later date, likely as a mark of re-validation or local authorization. |
