| Obverse description | The winged horse Pegasus depicted in full flight to the left, rendered with finely detailed feathered wings raised above the body and all four legs extended in a vigorous galloping posture. The musculature and mane of the horse are boldly modeled in high relief, characteristic of Corinthian die-cutting of the early fourth century BC. Beneath the body of Pegasus in the lower field appears the archaic Corinthian letter koppa (Ϙ), serving as the city's identifying mint mark. The flan is irregularly shaped, as is typical of hand-struck ancient Greek coinage. |

| Reverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right in bold relief, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head to reveal the goddess's features, with prominent nose, full lips, and a pearl earring visible at the ear. The helmet bowl is rendered with a smooth, domed surface and a downturned cheek guard. Behind Athena, in the left field, appears a double-bodied owl, a distinctive iconographic type associated with certain Corinthian stater issues and likely referencing a magistrate's symbol. The letters ΕΛΟ are distributed in the field to the lower right, identifying the issuing magistrate or series. |
