Obverse description Pegasus, the winged horse, depicted in left-facing flying gallop across the field, with elaborately rendered feathered wings raised above the body and a gracefully curled tail. The musculature and motion of the figure are rendered with characteristic Corinthian artistry, conveying both power and elegance. Below the body, the archaic koppa (Ϙ), the civic symbol of Corinth, appears in the lower left field serving as a mint mark.
