Reverse description A nude male figure, identified as a slinger, strides dynamically to the right in a wide stance, his right arm drawn back and raised to cast a sling, his left arm extended forward for balance. The torso is rendered with considerable anatomical detail in the vigorous Classical style. To the right of the slinger appears a triskelion symbol, and below it a tall amphoriskos or sling-bag. The city ethnic ΕΣΤFΕΔΙΙΥΣ (Aspendos) is inscribed vertically along the left field in archaic Greek characters.
