Obverse description Two nude wrestlers engaged in combat, rendered in high relief in the archaic Greek style; the figures are depicted frontally with intertwined arms grasping one another, their muscular bodies shown in dynamic contrapposto. The wrestlers stand upon a ground line, with one figure appearing to gain advantage over the other. The field is plain and unadorned, with no inscription. The modeling of the bodies displays the characteristic stylized musculature of early Classical Pamphylian coinage.
