Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head to reveal her facial features in three-quarter profile. The goddess displays flowing hair emerging from beneath the helmet, with fine curls rendered along the neck and cheek. On the helmet's bowl, a small decorative motif is visible, and a Pegasus or floral ornament appears on the cheek-guard. To the left in the field, a small forepart of Pegasus serves as an additional control mark. The portrait is modelled with high artistic quality consistent with the finest Corinthian stater dies of the early fourth century BC.
