| Reverse description | Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in fine relief with carefully articulated facial features in the Classical Greek style. The neck is bare, and behind the neck guard of the helmet a tripod symbol appears as a control mark. The AN monogram of Anaktorion is also placed behind the helmet. The field is plain and unlettered, consistent with standard Akarnanian coinage practice of this period. |
