| Obverse description | A centaur depicted in right-facing motion, rendered in high relief in the archaic Greek style, carrying a struggling nymph clasped firmly in both forelegs. The centaur's human torso is shown frontally with the equine body in profile; the nymph's draped figure hangs across his arms, her garment rendered with fine engraved folds.
