Reverse description The central field reproduces a replica of the ancient Roman 'Judaea Capta' sestertius: a standing Roman soldier at left and a mourning female figure seated at right beneath a palm tree, with the legend IVDAEA CAPTA and the abbreviation S C in the exergue. The inner coin image is set within an irregular tondo border, itself surrounded by a chain motif symbolising captivity, and a Hebrew inscription runs along the outer rim.
