Reverse description The central field presents a raised reproduction of the ancient Roman 'Judaea Capta' sestertius, depicting a standing Roman soldier on the left and a mourning woman seated beneath a palm tree on the right, with the legend IVDAEA CAPTA flanking the scene and S C in the exergue. Surrounding this central medallion is a decorative chain border symbolising captivity, with a Hebrew inscription running along the lower rim of the medal between the chain and the central design.
