Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed tableau of Ethiopian Jewish life and tradition in high relief, featuring a central synagogue surmounted by a Star of David, surrounded by traditional tukul dwellings, a weaving loom, ritual vessels and pottery, and figures on a hilltop. To the right, a bearded Kes (religious leader) in ceremonial robes and a distinctive umbrella headdress holds a sacred book. Zigzag decorative borders flank the composition, and a bilingual prayer inscription in Hebrew and Ge'ez runs along the lower rim.
