Reverse description Within a beaded border, the central field depicts a composition inspired by the Roman Judaea Capta sestertius of Vespasian (71 A.D.): a tall date palm tree at center flanked by a standing Roman soldier to the left and a seated mourning female figure to the right. A chain-link decorative border surrounds the inner medallion, with the Latin legend IVDAEA CAPTA arcing above the scene, SC in the exergue, and Hebrew legends in the outer border above and below.
