Obverse description A muscular nude male figure, facing left, wrestles two large serpents, grasping one firmly overhead while the other coils around his lower body and legs. A billowing flame or drapery element appears in the upper right field alongside the date 1914, with the engraver's signature HÖRNLEIN incised in the lower right field. The high-relief composition conveys dynamic struggle against adversity.
