Reverse description Square flan with hammered finish, the field entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in raised Kufic-influenced script arranged in horizontal registers. The legend names the ruling caliph Abu Muhammad 'Abd al-Mu'min ibn 'Ali and bears his title Amir al-Mu'minin (Commander of the Faithful). The script is vigorously rendered, with individual letter strokes showing the characteristic irregularity of hand-struck Almohad coinage. A simple rectilinear border encloses the inscription on all sides. No mint name or date appears on the flan, consistent with the undated, mint-less issues attributed to 'Abd al-Mu'min's reign.
