Obverse description Draped bust of King Oscar I facing right, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail characteristic of mid-19th century Scandinavian coinage. The effigy is surrounded by a circular legend in Latin script. A beaded border ring frames the design along the inner rim, separating the legend from the edge. This piece represents an obverse trial strike, produced to evaluate the portrait die prior to full production coinage.
