Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of King Christian VII with elegantly dressed hair tied at the nape with a ribbon, rendered in finely modelled high relief against a smooth field. The portrait displays refined neoclassical engraving characteristic of late 18th-century Danish coinage. A beaded border encircles the design. The circular Latin legend reads CHRISTIANUS VII DEI GRATIA, interrupted by the bust.
