Obverse description Rectangular plaquette with two standing figures flanking a central tablet: to the left a male figure in a leather apron holding tools, to the right a draped female figure, both facing inward. The upper portion bears a multi-line inscription within a decorative border, a blank recessed rectangular field occupies the centre, and the coat of arms of Aachen appears in relief at the bottom. The designer's name J. MEURISSE is inscribed along the lower edge.
