Reverse description The reverse displays the celebrated St George and the Dragon design in the tradition established by Benedetto Pistrucci, here rendered in a refined proof interpretation. St George, helmeted and semi-draped, is depicted on horseback at full gallop to the right, plunging a lance downward into the writhing dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The composition conveys dramatic movement, with the horse rearing and the cloak of St George billowing behind. The date 2025 appears in the exergue below a ground line, accompanied by the engraver's initials B.P. to the lower right.
