| Reverse description | The personification of Constantinopolis is depicted helmeted and seated on a throne ornately decorated with lions' heads, presented in a three-quarter facing pose with head turned to the right. She holds a long sceptre in her left hand and a globus in her right, while her right foot rests upon the prow of a ship, symbolising naval supremacy. An officina letter appears at the conclusion of the reverse legend, and the mintmark CONOB occupies the exergue. The encircling Latin legend CONCORDIA AVGGG proclaims the harmony of the three reigning emperors, the whole design enclosed within a beaded border. |
