| Obverse description | Bare, plain-diademed head of Constantius II as Caesar facing right, the gaze directed slightly upward in an idealised youthful portrait. The diadem is rendered as a simple fillet tied at the nape, with ribbon ends visible behind the neck. The hair is depicted in fine, layered strands combed forward from the crown and arranged in short waves above the brow, characteristic of Constantinian-era portraiture. The truncation of the neck is plain and unadorned. No legend is present on this side. |
