Reverse description The reverse depicts Constantius II as Princeps Iuventutis, standing facing in military dress — helmet, cuirass, and paludamentum — between two ornate military standards surmounted respectively by an eagle and a wreath finial. The prince holds a further standard or spear in his right hand and rests his left on one of the flanking standards. Both standards are decorated with roundels and phalerae along their shafts. The legend PRINCIPI - IVVENTVTIS arcs around the upper field, while the mint mark SMN appears in the exergue, denoting the Sacra Moneta of Nicomedia. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
