| Reverse description | The personification of Constantinopolis stands facing, slightly right, draped and winged, wearing a crested helmet, holding a long jewelled cross-on-steps staff in her left hand and resting her right hand on a shield set at her side. The figure embodies the imperial capital in a devotional posture.
