Obverse description Within a polylobe border, the Paschal lamb (Agnus Dei) is depicted passant to the left with head turned back to the right, nimbus encircling its head. A long cross-tipped staff bearing a pennant or banner extends behind the lamb. The composition is rendered in the Gothic hammered style characteristic of Low Countries feudal coinage of the early fifteenth century. The surrounding legend is struck in uncial Latin characters.
