Obverse description Essentially plain field, characteristic of the later Corieltauvian silver coinage. On finer specimens, traces of a wreath motif may be discerned filling the field, though on most examples the die impression is insufficiently struck to render the design clearly. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck Iron Age coinage of the East Midlands region.
