| Additional information |
The Corieltauvi occupied a territory roughly corresponding to the modern East Midlands, and their coinage developed later and more slowly than that of their southern neighbors — reflecting a tribal economy that remained less monetized well into the first century BC. The South Ferriby series, named for the Lincolnshire findspot where a significant hoard came to light, represents one of the most geographically concentrated coin distributions in British Iron Age numismatics.
ABC 1818 belongs to the "Kite" subdivision, distinguished by a specific arrangement of pellets and lines on the reverse that differentiates die groups within what was likely a multi-decade production run.
