Obverse description Stylised female head facing right, rendered in the distinctive Celtic abstract manner, with a sharply pointed nose and prominent large curl behind the ear. A diadem is depicted above the forehead, and the hair is represented by corded curls in the field behind. Stars with central pierced holes appear before the face, characteristic decorative elements of the Icenian die-cutter's vocabulary.
