Obverse description Stylised bearded head facing left, rendered in the abstract Celtic artistic tradition with bold raised lines delineating the hair as flowing parallel strands sweeping to the right. The facial features are schematically rendered, with a pronounced almond-shaped eye and a triangular nose. The legend BODVOC appears in the left field before the face, composed of individual letters arranged vertically. Pellets and ring-and-dot motifs are distributed around the portrait, characteristic of Dobunnic coinage of this period.
