Reverse description A horse advancing to the right dominates the field, its mane rendered as a distinctive ladder pattern of parallel horizontal bars, a hallmark device of the Abingdon Zoo type series. A smaller subsidiary horse appears above the main figure, and a further diminutive horse is placed below, all executed in the highly stylised, abstract artistic tradition of late Iron Age Celtic coinage. The figures are rendered in low hammered relief on an irregular flan with no inscriptions or legends present.
