| Obverse description | A boar advances to the right, rendered in the characteristically abstracted Celtic artistic style. The dorsal ridge is depicted as a prominent fan-shaped crest of radiating lines — the so-called Mohican bristles — surmounted by a row of pellets. The body of the animal is rendered with textured hatching, and the limbs are indicated by schematic linear strokes.
