Obverse description Male head facing left, rendered in a bold Celtic abstract style with the effigy noticeably oversized relative to the flan. The eye is depicted as a large oval 'coffee bean' form, and the ear is rendered in an exaggerated, representational manner characteristic of Late Iron Age British coinage. The hair is arranged in at least three parallel corded lines in a herringbone pattern, and decorative scrolls appear before the face in the field.
