The knight stands atop a crowned shield bearing the arms of West Friesland, displaying three horizontal rows of lions. The circular Latin legend MO : NO ARG : PRO : CONFOE : BELG : WESTF runs along the periphery, separated by decorative stops, within a beaded border.
