| Reverse description | At center, the crowned provincial arms of Overijssel are depicted on a shield bearing a rampant lion, the shield surmounted by an elaborate royal crown rendered in fine detail. The date is divided by the shield, with '17' to the left and '96' to the right of the arms. The circumferential Latin motto legend encircles the entire design, separated from the inner field by a beaded border. The reverse exhibits the characteristic Dutch provincial ducat style with bold, well-struck relief. |
