Obverse description Facing Gorgoneion (Metus) depicted full-face within a shallow incuse circle, rendered in archaic Etruscan style. The mask displays characteristic features including a broad, frontal visage with pronounced eyes, a wide grimacing mouth, and serpentine or hair-like elements framing the face. The design is boldly struck in high relief against a plain field, consistent with the artistic conventions of the Populonian mint during the late Classical to early Hellenistic period.

Reverse description Completely blank and uniface, presenting a plain, unworked flan with no design, inscription, or decorative element of any kind. The surface retains the irregular texture characteristic of a hammered flan, consistent with the uniface production technique employed for this series of Populonian silver coinage.
