| Obverse description | A deity vignette occupies the uppermost register of this narrow vertical note. Below the deity, a series of vertically arranged text cartouches carry the denomination and issuer inscriptions in classical Chinese characters. A red rectangular hand-stamp impression appears in the lower portion, serving as an authenticating seal typical of Edo-period private exchange notes. |

| Reverse description | Two deer face each other in a vignette at the upper register of the reverse, a motif commonly associated with Shinto shrines and auspicious imagery in Edo-period Japan. A single large text cartouche in classical Chinese characters occupies the central field below the vignette. Red and black seal impressions appear within and around the cartouche as authenticating marks. |
