| Obverse description | Stylised head rendered in abstract Celtic fashion, disintegrated into four quarters by a swirling spiral of four curved wreath arms radiating from a central pellet boss. Each quadrant contains a fragmentary facial element — an eye rendered as a raised annulet with central pellet — set within a field decorated with short curved lines evoking hair or foliage. The overall composition displays the characteristic Late Iron Age British artistic convention of reducing the human effigy to geometric and curvilinear elements. No legend or inscription is present. |
