Obverse description Facing right bust of Artumes (the Etruscan equivalent of Artemis), her hair bound with a fillet or band, rendered in an archaic Etruscan style with bold, stylized engraving. The deity's neck and drapery are indicated below the truncation. The denomination mark, the numeral X denoting 10 asses, appears in the left field behind the head. The portrait is vigorously executed in high relief, characteristic of Populonian silver coinage of this series.
