Obverse description Right-facing bust of the emperor Flavius Victor, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The pearl diadem is rendered with fine detail, with pendilia visible at the ear, and the paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder. The circumferential legend D N FL VIC-TOR P F AVG runs around the bust, proclaiming him dominus noster. The flan is irregular in outline, as typical of hammered siliquae of this era.
