Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Theodosius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The effigy displays finely engraved layered hair secured by a distinctive pearl diadem, with visible drapery and cuirass detailing at the truncation. The obverse legend DN THEODOSIVS PF AVG (Dominus Noster Theodosius Pius Felix Augustus) is disposed around the periphery, partially visible on this irregularly shaped flan.
