Obverse description Right-facing bust of Magnus Maximus, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in finely detailed late antique style. The emperor's effigy displays a prominent pearl diadem securing his hair, with individual pearls clearly delineated. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder with a fibula, and the cuirass is visible beneath. The encircling Latin legend reads D N MAG MAXIMVS P F AVG, identifying the usurper emperor with his full titulature.
